To provide a highly personalized and functional companion experience, we collect the following categories of data:

• Personal Account Details: When you register or sign in (via Google Sign-In or OTP), we collect your name, email address, profile photo, and unique account identifier.
• Journal Entries & Mood Data: Any logs, feelings, or text descriptions you submit in your personal journal are stored securely in our databases to track emotional trends.
• Audio Recordings: If you use the voice journal or voice companion features, our App accesses your microphone to record audio files, which are processed to generate transcriptions.
• Photos & Images: If you upload a profile photo or attach an image to your journal, our App requests access to your device's photo gallery/camera.
• Subscriptions & Transactions: In-app subscriptions (Starter and Pro) are processed securely through the Google Play Billing System. We do not collect or store your payment card numbers.

2. App Permissions Used

To run effectively on Android devices, Varyo requires access to certain system features. We request these permissions only when necessary:

• Camera & Photo Access: To let you capture or upload photos.
• Audio Recording (Microphone): To transcribe voice journals or interact with the AI voice companion.
• Internet: To sync data with Firebase, display ads, and process billing.
• Local Storage (Read/Write): To cache files and read configuration properties locally.
• Notifications: To deliver notifications or reminders.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We work with trusted third-party providers to power core parts of the Varyo App. These services collect data according to their own policies:

• Google Play Services & Google Play Billing: Powers Android OS components and handles subscriptions.
• Firebase Authentication & Firestore: Manages secure sign-ins and stores encrypted user profiles and journal data.
• Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics: Monitors app performance and reports logs when the app crashes to help us fix bugs.
• Google AdMob: Serves non-intrusive advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob uses advertising identifiers to customize ads. Subscribed users (Starter and Pro plans) will not be shown advertisements.

4. How We Use and Protect Your Data

Your data is used solely to power Varyo's features, specifically to train or guide your private AI Companion responses, plot your emotional trends, and sync messages across your devices. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third-party marketers.

All data is transmitted securely using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) encryption. Data is stored in secure database environments managed by Google Cloud Platform (Firebase).
